Wachesaw East
A former rice
plantation provides the setting for this championship layout designed by Clyde
Johnston. Carved out of gently rolling terrain, the heavily wooded course offers
five sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels. A hint of Scottish design,
accented with fresh-water wetlands and lakes, makes this distinctive course a
unique and enjoyable experience.
Golf Digest
gave Wachesaw Plantation East 4 STARS in “Places to Play- 2000”
and has been the site of four nationally televised professional golf tournaments
on the LPGA Tour: the 1997 Susan G. Komen International, the 1998 & 1999 City of
Hope Myrtle Beach Classic and the 2000 Kathy Ireland/Greens.Com Classic.
